‘Opposition is growing against Italy’s heavy-handed imposition of mandatory Covid vaccine passes for ALL workplaces.’ My article published by RT

Approximately 7,000 port workers in Trieste protesting against new rules requiring Italy’s COVID-19 vaccine green pass in workplaces

On 15 October 2021, protests and strikes broke out across Italy against the government’s new law that all employees are checked in all workplaces to see if they the COVID-19 vaccine green pass. Protestors blocked ports for long periods in Genoa and Ancona. Strikes against the vaccine green pass halted work at some companies, including Electrolux, Zoppas and San Benedetto. The local council also went on strike in Badalucco in Valle Argentina. Buses, coaches and trains have been cancelled due to a lack of drivers with the green pass. 2,000 people protested against the green pass in Cagliari with other significant demonstrations held in Florence, Bolzano, Turin, Naples, Rome, Mestre, Verona, Vicenza, Pordenone, Treviso and elsewhere. On Saturday 16 October 2021, 15,000 people protested against the COVID-19 vaccine green pass and scuffles broke out between protestors and police, as reported here:

Such actions are likely to continue while the COVID-19 green pass continues to place limits on freedom in Italy to work, study, travel and live as free citizens who have done nothing illegal, even though taking vaccines against COVID-19 is a positive health measure.
